Join us at Fat Bottom Brewery on Wednesday, May 28 at 6:00 PM for "Reporting the Research in the Fight Against ALS," a special event presented by the Vanderbilt ALS Research Center (VARC). This free, public event will feature groundbreaking updates from leading researchers—Dr. Veronique Belzil, Dr. Alex Parker, and Dr. Mariah Hoffman—on the importance of early diagnosis and patient stratification in developing effective ALS treatments. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with no cure, and every 90 minutes, someone is diagnosed and another loses their life to it. With a typical life expectancy of just 2–4 years and most cases arising without a family history, the need for awareness and support is urgent.
Throughout ALS Awareness Month, Fat Bottom Taproom is spotlighting a “Breakthrough Beer,” donating $1 from every pint sold. Guests can also order the "Pints for PALS" package—two pints and a pretzel & beer cheese appetizer—for $20, with $5 going directly to ALS research. Plus, both Fat Bottom and Teddy’s Tavern are running a round-up campaign allowing patrons to round up their checks in support of the Vanderbilt ALS Research Center. Grab a beer, support a powerful cause, and hear from the scientists working tirelessly to bring hope to those impacted by ALS.
